We had a range of canapés through the afternoon;  the homemade blinis, topped with  delicious beetroot cured salmon  and a dill dressing were wonderful- very more some! The mini meringues were crispy and chewy at the same time - gorgeous!

‘Cook in Melrose provided the catering for a dinner party for a small group of friends.

Being vegetarian, I am so often faced with the same options so I was delighted to be given something really different. Crispy, delicious aubergine fritters with a light, summery salad of watercress, orange, nuts and feta cheese along with a wee bowl of the most amazing dressing. We were also provided with a plentiful supply of gorgeous home made bread.

Dessert was a duo of sorbets, gin and tonic and Pimms, served with frozen berries; perfect for a warm summer's evening! The evening finished with teas and coffees accompanied by home made fudge - wonderful!’
